Thank you for speaking to us again today. Would you share a little about yourself and your background in this industry

Thank you for the interview and your interest in Ferro watches.

I come from an Art and marketing background with a strong desire in product design. I carried pencils and papers with me from a very early age and was drawing and designing different things. I have designed a number of fashion accessories as well as bicycles in the past, and they were successful in the market.

Like your readers, I am also a watch enthusiast, and my love of design and watch appreciation lead me to design my very first watch, Ferro Distinct, which is a single hand watch inspired by sports car tachometers. The tremendous success of that particular watch has increased my desire of designing watches and bringing my visions to life.

What are the things that inspire you when it comes to design?

Simplicity inspires me. It can be a sports car tachometer or vintage aviation or anything in between, but it is the simplicity of the design that inspires me and gives me ideas and directions.

What is next? What are your plans for Ferro for the next 5 years?

For us, the next step is bringing our ideas to life. We are currently working on a very unique watch that will be revealed in the next couple of months, and we are very excited about it. We want to expand our watch selection and enter different platforms to make Ferro more easily available to our customers.

Is the watches available only on your website? Do you plan to sell them on Amazon? (or through other platforms)

Ferro Watches (The Ferro Distinct) is currently being sold through our website and 2 other retailers in Germany and China. We are also currently in contact with a few retailers. Our focus is to be on the shelves of the brick and mortar retailers around the world and on their online stores. Our second creation is on Kickstarter and we hope to successfully finish this project with the help of our backers.

What kind of watches do you like. What do you personally look for in a timepiece?

I look for uniqueness, elegance, and simplicity, and these are the hardest elements to integrate when designing anything and also hard to find in the marketplace. Our hope is to be successful in integrating them in all of our watches.

Is there anything else you’d like to add to this interview?

Yes, we wanted to thank our backers on Kickstarter for supporting us and making our visions come to life. We would not have been able to come this far without their support and we wanted to take this opportunity and give them our appreciation.
