Review Summary:

One of the best watches that came out from Bulova's Precisionist Series, the 98B212 Analog Watch offers an outstanding everyday watch experience.

Bulova is long known for its remarkable history in the watch industry. As such, they are responsible for so many beautiful and elegant watches that we all love. Their rich and fascinating history in the watch industry has enabled to them to craft the most interesting watches to date like the one that we have here:the Bulova Precisionist 98B212.

What makes the Bulova Precisionist 98B212 remarkable? Well, first its design and build quality. The watch’s design should be the key-selling point of this watch. The watch is made from stainless steel that offers premium feel and durability at the same time. I can say that its build quality is definitely suitable for outdoor activities, diving and etc.

Although, I like its design, the watch seems to look (for me) a bit overcrowded especially around the dial. While this visual aesthetic gives the watch a professional look, I still find the subdials and inscriptions to be a little bit too much. I can’t really speak for others because many like this kind of design.

The watch’s unidirectional bezel looks very nice and is also very easy to operate. I just have a problem with the tachymeter’s position because it can be easily mistaken as the rotating bezel. Once you get used to this, you’ll be able to use the watch easily; especially its chronograph which is positioned really well on the dial.

Visibility is assured thanks to the luminous index hands and hour markers. However, visibility can be quite tricky at some times because of its lack of back lights. The subdials won’t be of any use when you are in dark environments. Luckily, the bezel also sports that distinguishing illumination dot located at the top.

I also like the mineral crystal window which is appropriate enough considering the price of this watch. But for me, I think it would be much better if Bulova managed to use sapphire crystal since it more scratch resistant and offers more durability.
