Audemars Piguet
Audemars Piguet does not consider itself a company, but an independent family business. Established by Jules Louis Audemars and Edward Auguste Piguet in 1875 in Le Brassus, a small village in Vallée de Joux, Audemars Piguet is considered the oldest watchmaking manufacturer never to have left the hands of its founders. This is the reason for the company’s independence that allows it to follow its own unique goals and visions.
Among the label’s greatest feats include developing the first minute repeater wristwatch (1892), the smallest five-minute repeater caliber (1915), and world’s first thinnest self-winding calibre with central rotor (1967). The fact that Audemars Piguet is partners with some of the world’s amazing people and organizations, such as Bernd Weisberger, Nick Faldo, and Michael Schumacher, is proof of the company’s integrity and reliability.
