The company’s origins dates back as far as the 1750’s, when Jacques Gevril, the brands’ creator, was summoned by the King of Spain for his high-quality Swiss timepieces. This has led to Gevril being known as an impeccable craftsman and for creating watches of unique quality. Today, the name of Jacques Gevril and his watchmaking skills endure, thanks to Swiss watchmaker and entrepreneur, Samuel Friedman. Samuel established Gevril Group in 1990, and having the vision that Jacques had, lifted the Gervil brand to its current status as a reputable Swiss watch company.
The Gervil Group represents a number of other watch manufacturers and distributes brands with rich history, such as Fortis and Gevril. The company also distributes Versace, Versus, Just Cavalli, Ferragamo, Haurex, Rüdiger, andJohan Eric. This only proves the quality of Gervil watches and the reputation of the entire Gevril Group.
