IWC or the International Watch Co. is a company that manufactures luxury Swiss watches. The company was founded in 1868 by Florentine Ariosto Jones, an American watchmaker who had been director of one of America’s leading watchmaking company at the time, E. Howard & Co. What makes IWC special is the fact that it is the only major Swiss watch company that is located in the eastern part of Switzerland (most prominent Swiss watch companies are based in western Switzerland).
IWC watches are also designed and created out of pure passion and technical inventiveness, one reason that IWC has established a solid reputation internationally. With its creative masterpieces that combine exclusive design and precision engineering, there is no question that IWC watches will continue to attract more and more watch aficionados.
