The Garmin Forerunner 620 is easily an excellent sports watch that could also double as a daily watch just because of how it looks and performs. It’s design makes it appropriate for casual use like going to business meetings or going to work. The watch is also very light and comfortable on the wrist. It has a color display and a responsive touchscreen which allows users to play around easily with the watch’s functions and features like tracking distances, monitor your heart rate with an optional heart-rate monitor, and more.

Yes, the Forerunner 620 also comes with an optional heart-rate monitor model. This allows the watch to give you a feedback about your running performance by showing you your cadence, vertical oscillation and ground contact time. And if you prefer training indoors, the Forerunner 620 will accommodate to you very well thanks to its built-in accelerometer that will allow you to track your distance.

The watch is not only limited to tracking your distances, heart rate, and pace but it is also capable of calculating your VO2 body’s maximum oxygen consumption. It does so by showing you a color gauge on the watch to calculate how your VO2 fairs well with other runners with the same age and gender as yours. This feature is extremely useful if you want to know how much oxygen your body consumes per minute, per KG of body weight at your max. The Forerunner 620 doesn’t really fall short when it comes to performance and features. It has all the information you need and it can even predict your race times for several distances!

Another feature worth mentioning is its recovery advisor. The recovery advisor uses a color gauge to let you know when you are good to go for a run or if you need to rest to recover your strength and energy.
