Review Summary:

An solid fitness tracker that urges you to be active housed inside a good-looking analog watch.

Garmin are widely known for their lines of watches and fitness trackers that focuses more on performance rather than on the design. But this time around, the company is aiming to give their loyal fans and customers a new fitness tracking device housed inside an analog watch which they call as the Garmin vívomove Sport.

The Garmin Vívomove Sport is not your ordinary fitness tracking analog watch. Although it doesn’t come with plenty of features, the watch is still unique on its own.

At first look, you will see two curved bars on both sides of the watch face. The left bar will tell you how close you are towards your daily fitness goals and the right bar will tell you how long you’ve not been moving at all. The right bar urges you to move as it fills up red after you become inactive for every 15 minutes. The Vívomove also does a fine job in monitoring your sleep.

The watch can even do more once you pair it with the Connect app. Once paired, you can now start receiving notifications for all your fitness goals. The app also displays a good amount of fitness data.

As for the aesthetics, the Vívomove comes in a variety of designs and finishes with the Sport being the entry-level which comes with a silicone sport band. The Vívomove Sport is attractive enough. It’s 42mm circular design sits on the wrist comfortably.

A replaceable coin cell battery which lasts for a year before it needs to be replaced is powering the Vívomove. The watch is water resistant to 50m, so it should be okay to take it for a swim.

Product Features:

  • 1 year Battery Life
  • Classic, Timeless Design
  • Fitness Tracking
  • Interchangeable Bands
  • Garmin Connect™
  • Sleep Monitoring
  • Accelerometer
  • Step Counter
  • Water Resistant to 50m

Pros:

  • Desirable design.
  • Solid sleep tracking.
  • Easy fitness tracking.
  • Battery life is excellent.

Cons:

  • Lacks vibration alarms and reminders.
  • The companion Garmin Connect™ app can be confusing.
  • No smartphone alerts.

Conclusion:

You could say that the Vívomove is pretty much standard but is very straightforward though. Garmin did a fine job on giving us a watch that serves its purpose just right and doesn’t try to be anything else. So if you want to get a good-looking watch all the while being an excellent fitness tracker, then Garmin Vívomove Sport is what you are looking for.
