Huawei just launched a new fitness tracker to the market named Huawei Fit. It is a fitness tracker that looks just like a watch and comes with some amazing technologies like heart-rate monitoring.
The Huawei Fit borrows the same design concept from the Huawei Mate 9 with its sleek and minimalist design. It has a watch-style design that you can easily customized thanks to the multiple band color options available for it.
At 35g, the Huawei Fit’s aluminum body construction feels very light on the wrist. The bands were also comfortable too. This watch has a heart-monitor to it. Pair it with a smartphone and you will be able to use it to send notifications, messages and calls via your mobile device. Going through the watch’s features and controls is made easy thanks to that 1.04-inch LCD display. It maybe not the best display out there but this mono screen certainly does a good job of what Huawei is trying to get out of this watch. The screen should also boost the battery life of the watch. The company claims that the Fit should be able to last for a good six days in one full charge.
What makes the Huawei Fit even better is that it supports multiple sports and activities. This watch is designed for cycling, swimming, running, walking, and treadmill workouts. It automatically detects when you are running or walking and will start recording data immediately. It can give you information such calories and fat burned, distance travelled and how long you’ve been doing the activity.
The continuous heart-monitoring is the key-selling point of this watch. I find the built-in heart-rate monitor really accurate. If you want to see your current heart rate, all you need to do is to go to the heart rate screen. You can also set it up to track your heart rate automatically when you are on a workout have it to continuously track your heart rate all day. The watch will give you a detailed look as to how your heart rate fluctuated during your workouts or at the end of a day.
The watch is also equipped with some built-running programs to keep you going. There‘s built-in programs for half marathon, marathon, 5k and 10k modes. The Huawei Fit will show you detailed information on how you’ve done well after a run. It can give you your overall score, distance travelled, duration of the run, steps taken, calories burned and recovery time. There’s also sleep tracking available here which should be able to track your sleep pattern.
