Interview with Cody, Creator of Coup De Coeur

Hi Cody, please share with us how you got started with Coup De Coeur.

We started Coup De Coeur with a sole purpose of having a niche we could fulfill. A luxury fashion timepiece for every occasion.

What inspires you when it comes to design?

Coup De Coeur’s inspiration started with a passion of colours. Colours induce us smile and creativity.

Colours can mean different things to different people and that is what we want our timepiece to feel, different on everyone’s wrist.

What are your unique selling propositions compared to many micro brands out there.

Firstly is our “Easy Interchangeable Strap System” within our timepiece which allows you to change your strap faster and easier. The best part is, you can do it yourself.

Next is our unique coloured leather strap accessories where we have range of exotic colours like white, yellow, red and even pink! Having both, this creates an endless combination of colours for your timepiece depending on your creativity.

Please share with us your market segmenting. How many percents of your sales are from local and overseas?

95% local and 5% overseas. We started Coup De Coeur as a Singapore Watch Brand 7 months ago. We’re very thankful for the people that helped to spread the word for our brand.

What are your goals for Coup De Coeur in the next 5 years?

We are going to revolution the idea of wearing automatic timepieces where luxury and style meet.

What do you personally look for in a timepiece?

I’m a big fan of automatic movements. Isn’t amazing how a movement is being designed and operates?
