Review Summary:

The inWatch Z is a standalone smartwatch equipped with all the specs, features and functionalities that you usually find on a smartphone.

The inWatch Z is what I would like to call as a real phone. Why? It’s because the watch has an unusual set of features that you don’t usually find in other smartwatches. It doesn’t need to be connected to your phone nor does it require to bring your phone everywhere you go. It’s what I would like to call as a “standalone” watch that makes your life easier and more comfortable. It’s technically a phone housed inside a body of an elegant watch.

The watch packs a hardware that is somehow reminiscent of a mid-range phone. It has fast 1.2 GHz dual-core processor, a big 8GB of internal storage and a sizable 1GB of RAM. The watch is waterproof up to a certain level and the screen is made from a sapphire material. It features a couple of sensors which includes, gravity sensor, magnetometer, accelerometer, pedometer, GPS as well as Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity. The watch also supports micro SIM card which you can insert on the left side.

The sapphire screen is very responsive and gives you access to all of the inWatch Z’s controls, functions and settings. The watch features basic activity tracking thanks to the onboard pedometer which counts your steps as you walk. The built-in camera takes decent photos and videos. The inWatch Z receives notifications, alerts, incoming calls, messages and emails really well. The watch also supports document files which includes Excel, PDF, PPT, TXT and other word file, although you can only view them.

Product Features:
  • Gorilla Glass TFT LCD Touchscreen

  • Adjustable Silicon Band
  • USB port
  • Quick App Access
  • Hydrophobic Nanocoating
  • Terrestrial Gravity Sensor
  • Terrestrial Magnetism Sensor
  • Accelerometer
  • 3-Axis Gyro
Pros:
  • Snappy user interface.
  • The built-in camera is works well.
  • The watch supports multiple 3G networks.
Cons:
  • Too heavy for people with small wrists.
  • Can be uncomfortable.
  • Build quality is not exactly good.
Conclusion:

I don’t really know if you can call it a smartwatch but the company still claims that it is a watch so that’s how we are going to call it. As for its price, I think the inWatch Z is reasonably priced. If you want a watch that will serve as a good alternative for your phone, the inWatch Z should be on your list. It’s hard to find another smartwatch that is complete with features and functionalities like the inWatch Z.

The inWatch Z is a standalone smartwatch equipped with all the specs, features and functionalities that you usually find on a smartphone.
