The usual watches indicate the hour through the hour hand rotating across the dial. The hour hand will only sweep between the hours indicating the actual time. This jump hour complication is different. The hour hand will only jump into the next hour when the 60 minutes is over. The hour hand will point at the current hour directly thus making it easier for the viewers to tell the time. This jump hour complication is done with the use of discs that have imprinted digits instead of using hands. This is the same concept with the jump minutes. The only difference is that the jump minute is applicable to minutes instead of hours.
