Motorola first entered the smart fitness watch market with the launching of their MotoACTV. It is a 46mm square gadget that comes with GPS and is run by a 600 MHz processor with Google Android software as well as an accelerometer and a Bluetooth 4.0 connection for tracking time, distance, speed, steps and calories burned during an exercise.
This new Motorola MotoACTV smart watch is available with a strap for wearing on a wrist. But you can also have it attached to a bike, to a shirt or to an arm. It can be paired with special Bluetooth sports headset which allows it to track your heart rate. The smartwatch also has an added functionality which includes message and call notifications.
One interesting feature of the MotoACTV is the “personal fitness DJ”. What this does is that it allows the watch to recognize the songs where you tend to put a lot of effort and then create a playlist depending on the effects of the songs that have on you. So if you have a favorite band that you always like to listen to, the smartwatch will definitely create a playlist out of that.
The Motorola MotoACTV also offers a level of interactivity which is something that you usually expect from hi-tech devices. You can track, share and analyze your performance by syncing it with MOTOACTV.com via Wi-Fo. You can even receive tips and training instructions from various fitness gurus and experts.
The Motorola MotoACTV sports modern-futuristic design, even futuristic. Although it looks awkward on a small wrist, the MotoACTV will never look-out-of-place as long as you use it for sport and fitness activities. Another key feature of this smartwatch is its full-color touch screen display made of Corning Gorilla Glass. The display makes the watch easier to use. You also have the option to split the display into four smaller screens for tracking several activities at the same time or for showing just one function, full screen.
