Review Summary:

The Polar A300 is a pure fitness tracking watch that’s so easy to like.

The Polar A300 is a pure fitness tracking watch that’s so easy to like. It pairs up with a phone and syncs data very quickly which is a necessity for a fitness tracker. Another good thing about the Polar A300 is that it is more affordable than most of its primary rivals.

I enjoyed the time I spent with the Polar A300. Even though I’m particularly not fitness conscious, the watch somehow inspires me to do some fitness activities. I like how you can change its profile depending on the exercise you are working on. I think the watch is best suited for people who hits the gym on a regular basis and for those who are just starting to get fit. It provides general fitness information about a particular exercise. The watch can tell you how many calories you’ve burned during the exercise and calculate how much burnt calories are actually fat calories.

As for running, the Polar A300 will be enough for a casual runner. It doesn’t have built-in GPS so don’t expect it to tell you how far you’ve run. This is a bit disappointing for hardcore runners out there since they have to figure out how far they’ve run on their own.

The watch can determine if you are active or inactive. The watch will buzz on your wrist if it senses that you’ve been inactive for very long. The Polar A300 has a snooze alarm that will help you to wake up nicely in the morning. The silent alarm has worked incredibly for me and I really appreciate its function.

As for looks, you have the option to change the straps of the Polar A300 if you want to match it with your overall look. Straps are offered in different colors. You can easily change the silicone strap with another one. The watch feels comfortable and has nice build quality. I also like to mention the convenience of having a USB connector on the lower portion of the watch. This allows you to charge it easily to any standard USB port. But there’s a big chance that you won’t be having to charge it all the time because the Polar A300’s battery life is superb.

Product Features:
  • Heart Rate Tracking
  • Activity Tracking
  • Fitness Tracking
  • Rechargeable Battery
  • Bluetooth
  • USB Connector
  • Smart Alarms
  • Vibration
  • Water Resistant
Pros:
  • Superb battery life.
  • Solid and reliable fitness tracking.
  • Useful app.
Cons:
  • No built-in GPS.
  • Looks cheap.
  • Lacks notification functionality.
Conclusion:

The Polar A300 is a straightforward fitness tracking watch. It’s true to its purpose and does it job really well. But it’s exactly not the kind of watch that you would want to wear as a daily-driver. I only wear it when I go to the gym or go running. The watch is sturdy but looks cheap. But all in all, if all you want is a solid fitness tracking watch, the Polar A300 is worth looking into especially with its affordable price.

The Polar A300 is a pure fitness tracking watch that’s so easy to like.
