Hands on Review – Seiko Men’s SNP007 Coutura Kinetic Perpetual
Advantages:
- This watch is powered by a Kinetic movement and functions without a battery. Just with the movement of your arm, this watch is automatically powered.
- To protect all the delicate mechanisms on this watch, the dial is protected with a strong scratch resistant sapphire crystal. That makes it extremely wearable for a long time.
- The sturdy stainless steel case has a sleek design that almost looks like an armor. The smooth design makes the watch wearable even under tight shirt dresses.
- The date, month, and twenty-four hour sub dials make the watch the first choice in the morning when you wake up and you’re already late for work. It’s a watch that can be worn every day.
- And it should be worn every day, because the Seiko Kinetic Perpetual watch must be worn for the mechanism to keep time.
- The watch is also water-resistant for up to 330 feet or 100 meters. This is one of my favorite features in a watch because you don’t need to be into diving or extreme water sports to use this function. It can be put to a test when you’re washing your hands, cooking, or any daily activity where you’ll be exposed to water. For those times when taking off your watch and leaving it beside the wash basin is just too big of a risk.
- I absolutely admire how the watch has a great black and silver contrast. that way, even if the watch has only a case of 44 mm in diameter, you’ll still see the time and all its subdials without hassle.
- Just when you think all that aren’t good enough to convince you that this watch is an easy pick, this Seiko Men’s watch automatically adjusts for leap years, months with different days, and morning and evening time difference. You’ll never have to readjust every now and then.
Disadvantages:
- The case looks like a women’s watch. The sleek design could very well be mistaken for a women’s formal or casual watch. I haven’t tried the watch on for myself yet, but the size really looks like it could belong to me instead of my significant other’s.
- Because the watch is pretty easy to readjust on your own, the pins that keep the chain links together may come off even if you don’t want to. So be careful if you’re adjusting it yourself. Make sure that the pins are secured very tightly.
- The clasp doesn’t have double locking, so be careful when you’re doing intense activities too. Overall, this watch may not be your usual manly pick.
