Review Summary:

Just like its other counterparts, slow Mo and Slow Jo, the slow O is a one-hand 24 hour watch. What sets the slow O from slow Mo and slow Jo is that big 42mm case diameter.

Just like its other counterparts, slow Mo and Slow Jo, the slow O is a one-hand 24 hour watch. What sets the slow O from slow Mo and slow Jo is that big 42mm case diameter.

The case is still made from 316L stainless steel. But this time around the case is more rounded as compared to the slow Mo and slow Jo. In fact, the rounded case of the slow O is flat and feels lightweight which I think is more comfortable to wear than the other two. The crown with an engraved Slow Watch logo on its top is placed on the right side and is also easy to operate.

The very noticeable feature of the slow O is its one-hand 24 hour dial. Some people might be confused about this one-hand dial approach but the watch actually allows you to see the time in one quick view. This takes some time getting used to but once you do, you’ll actually appreciate it more than a standard watch because of how easy it is for you to see the entire day with slow O in just one view. With just a quick look, you’ll immediately be able to tell the time and where you stand in your day.

I also appreciate the dark brown leather strap to compliment with the stainless steel case. The combination just makes the watch even more attractive.  The watch has a K1 mineral crystal which I think is a letdown. This mineral crystal is the most common watch crystal used in mid-range watches. It’s not as hard as a sapphire crystal so you need to be more careful with the watch since it can be scratched easier especially over the years.

Powering the slow O is the Swiss-made Ronda Caliber 505.24h GMT quartz movement which usually comes with four hands and a date indicator. Slow O though uses only hand.

Product Features:
  • One-hand 24 hour watch
  • Swiss-made GMT quartz movement
  • 100 meter water resistant case
  • 316L stainless steel case
  • Extra hardened K1 mineral glass
  • Anti-reflective coating
  • Calf-leather strap with stainless steel buckle
  • 42 mm diameter
Pros:
  • Elegant minimalist design.
  • Affordable stylish watch.
  • Comfortable to wear.
  • Great day-to-day watch.
Cons:
  • The one hand design takes some getting used to.
  • Doesn’t give exact and to-the-minute time readings.
Conclusions

If you want to be different, I think the slow O will be a nice fit for you. The 42mm watch should appeal to people who are looking for stylish watch. Although it does take some time getting used to that one-hand time movement, the watch bodes well as your daily driver.
