Review Summary:

A luxury smartwatch that every watch lovers will definitely like, provided if you have the cash to afford it.

We already met a couple of smartwatches made by tech companies like Samsung, Apple, Motorola, and LG and they were all good on their own right. But this time around, we are going to meet a new smartwatch developed by a known fashion brand in the watch industry: the Tag Heuer Connected. Tag Heuer is known for their fashionable timepieces but are they able to show their expertise in the most expensive smartwatch to date? Let’s find out.

The Tag Heuer Connected is definitely a great looking watch. It is easy to identify it as Tag Heuer watch even at a distance. But having a closer look with it will make you wondering if this is the right smartwatch for your wrist. It is big and chunky. It is even bigger than most smartwatches in the market with its 12mm waistline.

The Connected sports a large 1.5-inch display and a crystal sapphire glass face. The company claims this to be an extremely durable display. The crystal sapphire glass face definitely looks good and oozes with luxury however it is very prone to fingerprints. The Connected also has a black carbide coated titanium bezel, with raised numerals, which give the watch a more classical and distinguishable look as compared to other smartwatches in the market.

That 1.5-inch display is an LCD screen with 360 x 360 resolution for a total of 240ppi. There are multiple brightness options and since this is a transflective LCD display, it pretty much visible in bright conditions. The watch also has a black screen state that looks good under bright sunlight which is perfect for going outside. The theatre mode which makes the whole screen dark will helps you save battery also comes very handy.

The Tag Heuer Connected is not missing on hardware as well. At the center is dual core 1.6GHz Atom Z324XX CPU from Intel that makes things go around smoothly. It is important to note that the Connected will be the only Android Wear device to come out with an Intel processor since Intel has already released a statement that they are giving up on mobile processors. Overall, the smartwatch is very responsive and smooth. Battery life is also good. The watch can last for 24 hours in one full charge.
