Review Summary:

A smartwatch with an excellent battery life but suffers from a lot of shortcomings.

Since most smartwatch fanatics are only looking at the ones made by Apple, Samsung, Motorola, Huawei, Pebble and other popular wearable manufacturers, they fail to see that there are couple of other smartwatches that deserves attention and one good example of it is the Vector Luna Smartwatch.

Just because it’s not launched by a popular tech company, it doesn’t mean that the product is not worth looking into.  Vector aims to convince everyone that excellent smartwatches are not only made by the established tech companies but also from an upstart company like them. As such, they introduced the Vector Luna Smartwatch, the company’s very own direct competitor to the popular smartwatches today.  So how does the Vector Luna Smartwatch fair in comparison with other smartwatches?

I especially like how you can fully customize it to match your taste and look. It feels comfortable on the wrist despite of its chunkiness. But that’s just it, it’s not a bad-looking smartwatch but it is definitely not one of the most-good looking out there. The design overall needs improvement before it can compete with the likes of Apple Watch.

I like the simplicity of the Vector Luna when it comes to its functionality. It will tell you time and notify you when you get messages and alarms. The notifications are customizable to and it will be up to you what type of notification you want to receive.  So kudos for Vector, for giving us a smartwatch for being straightforward with its functionalities.

The company also claims that the Vector Luna is an excellent fitness tracker. But I beg to differ. You can’t call it as an excellent fitness tracker so it only tracks basic activities. There is also sleep tracking onboard but it’s not exactly helpful.

Vector did a fine job with the battery life of its smartwatch at the cost of the display. The display is grainy and can be very disappointing especially in low light environment since you won’t be able to read the text easily.

Product Features:
  • 30 Day Battery Life
  • Stainless Steel Casing
  • Activity Tracking
  • Customizable Notifications
  • Huge Selection of Watch Faces
  • Water Resistant to 50m
  • Compatible with Android phones and iPhones
  • Accelerometer
  • Gyroscope
Pros:
  • Long battery life.
  • Always-on display.
  • Customizable notifications and alarms.
  • Sturdy construction.
Cons:
  • The display is disappointing.
  • Suffers from connectivity issues.
Conclusion:

The Vector Luna is a simple, basic smartwatch that’s good for people who simply wants to receive notifications on their wrist without having to charge it every now and then thanks to its long battery life. Other than that, you can still find another smartwatch that lets you do more and with a more elegant design.

A smartwatch with an excellent battery life but suffers from a lot of shortcomings.
